Our Story

The Founder's Story
Hi, I'm the founder of The Useless Husband, and yes, I was that husband.
It all started with a forgotten anniversary. Not just any anniversary, our 5th. I had six months to prepare, countless calendar reminders from my wife, and even a not-so-subtle "Don't forget our anniversary" note stuck to the fridge. Yet somehow, I still managed to come home empty-handed that day, greeted by my wife's disappointed face as she handed me a thoughtfully curated gift box she'd spent weeks preparing.
One mother's day, I was so late in organizing the gift for my mum that my crappy last minute gift voucher for a massage at the place down the street really didn't cut it. It didn't help that it looked like a hostel.
"I wasn't a bad husband. I was just... useless at remembering the important stuff."
As I was sleeping on the couch (again), I had my epiphany. I wasn't a bad husband. I wasn't even a bad father or son. I was just... useless at remembering the important stuff. And I knew I couldn't be the only one.
So I created The Useless Husband. Not just to save my own marriage, but to help other well-meaning but forgetful partners never miss an important date again. A service that doesn't just remind you, but helps you become thoughtful by suggesting personalized gifts and handling the logistics so you can focus on what matters: showing up for the people you love.
Since creating this service, I haven't forgotten a single important date and my wife actually thinks I've changed (and I have, with a little help).
The best part? My wife still doesn't know about this service. And if your partner never finds out either, well, that's the whole point.
